Introduction to computer modeling technologies

Abstract

Computer modeling is an interdisciplinary field that requires a broad range of knowledge for successful mastery. Computer modeling technologies demand that a researcher be able to correctly define problems, rank input parameters when constructing a model, forecast research outcomes, conduct computer-based experiments, and analyze the results. This educational and methodological manual contains theoretical material, examples of how to solve practical problems, and test questions for assessing knowledge. The manual presents five examples of problem-solving using the ANSYS analysis software, two examples using the ANSYS Workbench environment, and two examples using the ANSYS DesignXplorer module. Theoretical content accounts for slightly more than half of the manual's total volume. The publication is addressed to students of specialties 6-05-0713-02 “Electronic systems and technologies”, 6-05-0611-05 “Computer engineering”.
