| Abstract: | The article examines the influence of Western musical trends in music teaching in the context of teaching national music at universities in China. The author comes to the logical conclusion that the Western system of music theory has contributed to the development of traditional music in China and laid the conceptual and methodological foundations of music education in Chinese universities. |
