Abstract

A large scale geomorphologic map, reflecting the genesis, morphology, main relief categories, dominant modern geomorphologic processes of Gomel city is developed on the base of geomorphologic investigations of the city. As a result of the investigation the following genetic types of relief were found: glacial sediment (gild), water glacial (fIld-sz), fluvial (I, alll-IV), eolian deflation accumulative, biogenic and anthropogenic ones. The regions of strike of some morphological complexes such as slightly sloping ouval, slightly sloping rolling, flat, flat-tuberous, parallel ridge, segment ridge floodplains as well as the zones of denudation, transit and accumulation are established.
