| Abstract: | The article shows that the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 - the beginning of 1920 contributed to the appearance of information about Belarusians in the Englishlanguage journalism, albeit a very limited amount; it contained rather contradictory theses generated by Russian and Polish traditions, but it carried a single message about the underdevelopment of Belarusians as an ethnic group |
