Становление Гомельского государственного университета

Abstract

Освещаются основные этапы становления Гомельского госуниверситета, открытого в мае 1969 г. на базе педагогического института. Анализируются проблемы создания материально-технической базы университета, трудности решения кадрового вопроса, организация учебно-методической, научно-исследовательской и воспитательной работы в вузе в первые годы его работы. Источниками для написания статьи стали как документы архивов (Национальный архив Республики Беларусь), так и воспоминания преподавателей, чья судьба тесно связана с университетом. Впервые введены в научный оборот некоторые документы по раннему периоду истории Гомельского государственного университета. The article enlightens basic stages of formation of Gomel State University that was opened on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute in May 1969. It also analyzes the problems of formation of financial and technical base of the university, the difficulties of the staff employment, the organization of educational and methodical, research and pedagogical work in the higher education establishment during the first years of its functioning. The sources of this article are both the archive documents (The National Archive of the Republic of Belarus) and the lecturers’ memories whose fates were closely connected to the university. For the first time some documents describing the early years of Gomel State University are open for carrying out research.
