Пространственно-временная динамика этнической структуры населения Гомельской области

Abstract

Описываются особенности трансформации этнической структуры населения Гомельской области и районов с 1979 г. Показано, что в советский период происходило увеличение разнообразия этнического состава, возрастала доля и численность населения миноритарных этнических групп. Постсоветский период характеризуется снижением численности основных национальностей, темпы которого к2019 г. заметно снизились. Приведены данные об относительной величине изменения численности основных национальностей по районам и г. Гомелю за каждый межпереписной период в 1979–2019 гг., динамике доли их населения в крупнейших городах от общей численности населения области, представлены карты индекса этнической концентрации основных национальностей по районам и г. Гомелю, а также индекса этнической энтропии по результатам каждой переписи, что позволяет проследить пространственно-временную динамику данных показателей. Выявлена тенденция к унификации этнического состава районов. Проведена количественная оценка попарного сходства этнической структуры районов и г. Гомеля в 1989 и 2019 гг. и их сходства с этнической структурой области в целом. The article describes the features of the transformation of the ethnic structure of the population of the Gomel region and districts since 1979. It is shown that during the Soviet period there was an increase in the diversity of the ethnic composition, and the share and size of the population of minority ethnic groups increased. The post-Soviet period has been characterized by a decline in the population of the main nationalities, the rate of which has slowed significantly for the last period. The relative change in the number of the main nationalities by district and the city of Gomel for each intercensal period in 1979–2019 as well as the dynamics of the share of their population in the largest cities relative to the total number of their population in the region are shown. The maps of ethnic concentration index of the main nationalities by districts and the city of Gomel, as well as the index of ethnic entropy based on the results of each census, are presented, which makes it possible to trace the spatio-temporal dynamics of these indicators. A trend toward unification of the ethnic composition of districts was identified. A quantitative assessment of the pairwise similarity of the ethnic structure of districts and the city of Gomel in 1989 and 2019, as well as their similarity to the ethnic structure of the region as a whole was conducted.
