Эволюция художественной парадигмы белорусской и англоязычной исторической прозы

Abstract

Статья посвящена компаративному исследованию coвoкyпнocти мeтoдoв и пpиeмoв репрезентации прошлого в исторической прозе белорусских и англоязычных авторов последних трех десятилетий. Постмодернизм, как правило, признается академическим сообществом доминирующим мировоззрением современности, и именно в его рамках преимущественно интерпретируются литературные произведения. Между тем, изучение стратегий художественной репрезентации истории современных авторов выявляет черты, противоречащие основным установкам постмодернистской эстетики, что позволяет говорить о происходящей смене литературной парадигмы. = Historical novel has long been associated with postmodernist movement in literature to the extent that and a certain degree of interest in the past can be ascribed to many examples of contemporary literary fiction. At the same time certain recent developments in the ways national past is addressed and presented are an obvious sign of changes in genre poetics, that mark a shift from postmodern aesthetics toward something new. The article focuses on comparative case study of Belarusian and British historical fiction from the point of view of prevailing themes and concepts and the ways they are presented. Such an approach could help further explore and highlight the literary and cultural processes that appear to be at the forefront of writers’ attention.
